Wake Tech's Fall graduation ceremonies are set for 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.
Explore a career as a caseworker for the North Carolina Division of Social Services (DSS). In this intensive, hands-on, interactive course, you will get an overview of DSS and the NCFAST data-entry system. Learn about data entry, keyboarding, interviewing, workplace success and customer service. Discover general DSS and NCFAST terminology, basic navigation skills in the NCFAST system and the WorkKeys assessment.
The course is Phase I of a two-part training program that can serve as a pathway to further training. DSS partnered with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board to offer this great opportunity.
Learn a variety of skills for a role as an income maintenance caseworker, determining eligibility for services. You will become proficient in using the NCFAST application and build skills in communication, interviewing, time management and gathering, compiling and analyzing data.
