Learn the primary responsibilities of a central sterile processing technician and practice the concepts and procedures you've learned.
Topics covered include preparation, storage and distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment; quality assurance; and inventory management.
Upon completion, students should be able to apply the principles of sterilization and disinfection in the workplace, as well as the principles of distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment.
The course is a mix of online and in-person instruction. Students will meet in class and then complete further study online via Blackboard. Check the course details for specific dates.
NOTE: Students should be able to communicate proficiently in English.
