Learn the primary responsibilities of a central sterile processing technician, including practical application of learned concepts and procedures. Topics covered include preparation, storage and distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment; quality assurance; and inventory management. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the principles of sterilization and disinfection in the workplace, as well as principles of distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment.
The course is hybrid, and hours will consist of two components combining seated and online instruction. Students will meet in class and then complete further study via Blackboard online from their computer. Check the course details for specific dates.
NOTE: Students should be able to communicate proficiently in English.
