State Math Contest

Wake Tech's Math and Physics Department annually sponsors a regional contest for middle school and high school students as part of the State Mathematics Contest. The contest was initiated in 1979 under the sponsorship of the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the state Department of Public Instruction to provide state-level competition in mathematics. Wake Tech is one of 15 regional test sites, and the students who excel at any of those sites are invited to participate in the state finals in Level I, Level II, Level III and Comprehensive competitions.

The 2024 contest is scheduled for March 21. For more information, contact Pam Zollinger at [email protected] or 919-866-5961.
