The course is intended for candidates, bilingual in Spanish, that are interested in the field of Cosmetology and seek to obtain a Cosmetology license.
Description
Este curso virtual en linea introduce conceptos básicos de la cosmetología, incluyendo el imagen profesional, sanidad (o higiene), bacteriología, anatomía, ética, ect. Otros temas relacionados serán introducidos como son las prácticas fundamentales de los servicios de cosmetología, tales como tintes y decoloración del cabello, entubado y pedicuras.

This course will be taught in Spanish. Este curso se enseña en español.
Course Objectives
  1. learn the history of Cosmetology
  2. learn all aspects of infection control including sanitation and disinfection procedures.
  3. learn to demonstrate proper professional hygiene, grooming, and attitude.
  4. learn how to effectively communicate with clients.
  5. learn and explore the basics of general Anatomy and Physiology.
  6. learn and explore the basics of Chemistry as it relates to Cosmetology.

  1. At the end of the training, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be able to register to take the Cosmetology exam.

Students must attend a Cosmetology information and orientation sessions.
Students must present either a copy of their High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (GED) or must have passed the Career Readiness Certificate tests with at least Bronze level.
