Wake Tech students can now ride GoRaleigh buses to the college’s many local campuses – for free! The college announced today that it has expanded its partnership with the City of Raleigh to extend free bus service to Wake Tech’s Northern Wake, Perry Health Sciences, and Public Safety Education campuses and Beltline Education Center.

Dr. Stephen C. Scott, President of Wake Technical Community College, is pleased to announce that Wake Forest resident Hannah Moyles has been named the 2016 Scott Scholar. As a Scott Scholar, Moyles will receive up to $3,500 to cover tuition, fees and books for the year.

U.S. Representative David Price visited Wake Tech Community College today to announce two major federal grant awards – including the largest grant in the college’s 50+-year history.

Wake Tech’s 2016-17 academic year is off to a record-breaking start: For the first time ever, fall semester enrollment has reached more than 23,000 students! The college is also welcoming the largest group of new students in its 50+- year history!

Governor Pat McCrory joined local business leaders, educators and other elected officials as Wake Tech broke ground on its newest venture: the RTP Campus in Morrisville.

Men’s basketball at Wake Tech has a new leader – with a new style. Athletic Director Barry Street announced today that Adam Wainwright will take over as head coach for the men’s basketball program.

Spring 2016 Honor Roll

The Wake Tech Board of Trustees has named Tom Looney its new chair. Looney joined the board in 2013 and succeeds Harvey Montague.

Local business leaders Mary-Ann Baldwin, Mike Conlon, Samantha Hatem, and Walt Tippett have joined the board of directors of the Wake Tech Foundation. The new members were selected for their community leadership and commitment to the mission of the college.
