New Coach For Mens Basketball Team
RALEIGH, N.C. (August 8, 2016) - Men’s basketball at Wake Tech has a new leader – with a new style. Athletic Director Barry Street announced today that Adam Wainwright will take over as head coach for the men’s basketball program.
“Adam not only has the experience we need,” Street said, “but good chemistry with our athletes and staff! He has already demonstrated the leadership that will make this transition smooth and our upcoming season a winning one.”
Wainwright served as an assistant coach for men’s basketball at Barton College for the past two seasons, where he helped the Bulldogs reach the postseason and make it to the 2016 conference finals. Wainwright was also an assistant coach at Sandhills Community College. He'll now be able to start building his own legacy as he looks to returning the Eagles to prominence in Region X.

Wainwright will hit the ground running, he says, beginning recruitment immediately and bringing an exciting, fast-paced style to the sport: “I will seek out quality young men to represent the college and make our students and fans proud.”
