John Deere heavy equipment dealers and vendors who work on John Deere equipment from across the Southeast joined students and faculty at a Wake Tech Open House. The annual event, showcasing the college’s John Deere Agriculture Technology program, was a huge success, with more than 250 attending.
Wake Tech Community College offers charging stations for electric vehicles – for students, faculty, staff, and the community – and will soon have two more!
Nearly 800 Wake Tech students received degrees and diplomas today, in preparation for entering the workforce or continuing their studies at a four-year institution. Two ceremonies were held, at 9:00 a.m. and at noon, in the gymnasium on Main Campus.
Exam week can mean stress for students! To help them cope, the college brought four-legged friends to campus libraries. Certified therapy dogs were on hand at various campuses throughout the week.
Local business leader Tommy Laakso has joined the board of directors of the Wake Tech Foundation. Laakso was selected for his community leadership and commitment to the mission of the college.
