Individuals interested in exploring and understanding the role and skills of an Administrative Assistant.
Learn about office administration – the skills, attributes, and work values necessary for employment in the field – and how to determine if a career as an administrative assistant is right for you. This course explains the role of technology in administrative work and how to prepare for a variety of entry-level positions. You’ll explore occupational training opportunities, wages, and trends that can help you find employment and career advancement.
Course Objectives
  1. have explored self-assessment tools to determine probable career interests;
  2. have identified administrative assistant positions, titles, and roles;
  3. have learned about salary ranges for fastest growing administrative assistant category of occupations in North Carolina;
  4. have learned how to become a professional through understanding work load management, workplace ethics, team work, and communication skills;
  5. have identified better customer focus skills;
  6. have better understanding on how technology is used with administrative assistant job duties;
  7. have learned the different resources available for further education and career opportunities.
