Wake Tech Community College offers charging stations for electric vehicles – for students, faculty, staff, and the community – and will soon have two more!
Nearly 800 Wake Tech students received degrees and diplomas today, in preparation for entering the workforce or continuing their studies at a four-year institution. Two ceremonies were held, at 9:00 a.m. and at noon, in the gymnasium on Main Campus.
Exam week can mean stress for students! To help them cope, the college brought four-legged friends to campus libraries. Certified therapy dogs were on hand at various campuses throughout the week.
Local business leader Tommy Laakso has joined the board of directors of the Wake Tech Foundation. Laakso was selected for his community leadership and commitment to the mission of the college.
A team of Wake Tech students beat university competitors – some of them grad students – from Duke, UNC, NC State, and NC Central in an IT competition sponsored by the International Association for Software Architects (IASA).
Wake Tech Community College is proud to announce an inaugural “Lighting the Way” award from the SunTrust Foundation. Eight awards of $50,000 were given to non-profits across the Southeast for financial education programs.
Wake Tech is proud to offer students a convenient new tool for budgeting and managing educational expenses. The college is now offering a tuition payment plan that allows students to pay tuition and fees directly from their checking or savings accounts, or by credit card.
Thanksgiving arrived early for students in Wake Tech’s Fostering Bright Futures program! These students were formerly in foster care and are now in college and on their way to earning college degrees. They enjoyed a Thanksgiving luncheon today at Butterball, LLC in Garner.
