RALEIGH, N.C. (August 28, 2025) – It's now easier than ever for Wake Tech graduates to continue their education at William Peace University.

The two institutions signed an agreement Thursday offering guaranteed admission and preferred pricing for Wake Tech graduates who transfer to Peace. The program, which takes effect this fall, is called Peace Pathways and also includes no application fee for Wake Tech graduates.

"This adds an exciting new dimension to our long-standing partnership with William Peace University," said Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls, "and one that benefits our students in more than one way. It gives our graduates greater access to 'ladder up' to an advanced degree and an opportunity to realize considerable savings on the cost of their education."

Peace Pathways guarantees a seamless transition for Wake Tech students who earn an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Science degree. Tuition at Peace will be $10,000 per year for in-person classes and $290 per credit hour for online classes, representing a substantial savings. Wake Tech students also have access to comprehensive advising and support services, even before the transfer takes place.

Diana Cisneros earned her Associate in Arts degree from Wake Tech in July and is one of the first students to enroll at Peace through the new program. She says her transfer experience was easy, and she's eager to pursue her bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.

"This program will help me earn my bachelor's degree while I continue working and not have student debt," Cisneros said. "Wake Tech gave me a really strong education foundation and set me up for success. I'm excited to jump into my classes, networking, career fairs and internships and really get to know all the staff, faculty and resources at Peace."

"Developing Peace Pathways is the latest example of how we are making a four-year degree more accessible and affordable for North Carolinians," said William Peace University President Dr. Lynn Morton. "We look forward to welcoming even more Wake Tech graduates to the Peace community."

A second agreement offers a seamless transfer opportunity specifically into Peace's Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice program. Wake Tech students who earn an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree, or an AAS degree in Criminal Justice Technology or Paralegal Technology, are eligible, and the agreement guarantees that students can complete a bachelor's degree in two years.

Wake Tech and Peace have several other program-specific transfer agreements in place, including Business Administration, Business Analytics, Health & Fitness Science, Simulation & Game Development and Web & UX Design. The two institutions also offer a seamless RN-to-BSN pathway for registered nurses.
