Middle and high school students put their math skills to the test today in the 25th annual Regional Math Contest, hosted by Wake Tech’s Mathematics and Physics Department.
More than 100 North Carolina manufacturers, economic development agencies, and community college leaders – along with student-apprentices – came together today for the first-ever Apprenticeship Summit.
Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen C. Scott is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Schwiebert as Vice President for Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer for the college. Schwiebert, a former community college Vice President of IT and CIO, oversees all of Wake Tech’s information technology and computer systems.
A generous grant from the Walmart Foundation will boost Wake Tech’s efforts to help veterans translate military experience into employment and career advancement. The college has received a $100,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Program, which provides grants to nonprofits that assist underserved populations.
Eighty-nine proud students earned credentials tonight at the fall graduation ceremony for Wake Tech’s High School Equivalency and Adult High School programs. The ceremony honored 63 students who completed the GED® test to earn a high school credential and another 26 who earned Adult High School (AHS) diplomas.
