RALEIGH, N.C. (September 27, 2016) - Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held a rally at Wake Tech’s Main Campus today. About 1,400 people attended the event, held in the gymnasium, and another 800 watched it in the Student Services Building.
Student Government Association (SGA) president Yusuf Mahmoud lead the pledge of allegiance, and Wake Tech graduate Christine Bonaventure introduced the candidate. Clinton spoke for about 40 minutes and stayed to mingle with the crowd following the rally. The visit was not the former Secretary of State’s first: She held a rally at Wake Tech during her 2008 presidential run.
