Description
This hybrid course is a continuation of CCENT (ICND1) and is also for students who had a prior CCNA. Students will learn basic router configuration and network technology, with hands-on activities using Cisco equipment and simulation software to develop a solid background. The course includes router and IOS basics, router startup and configuration, routing protocols and network address translation, IP addressing, frame relay, switching, PPP, EIGRP, OSPF, and VLANs. This is a certification preparatory course. It prepares you for the Cisco CCNA ICND2 certification exam or the CCNA Routing and Switching certification exam.
Course Objectives
  1. Configuration of Spanning Tree Protocol on switches.
  2. The importance of redundancy on layer 2 and layer 3.
  3. Troubleshooting routing protocols for IPv4 and IPv6.
  4. Implementation of various types of protocols, such as EIGRP, OSPF, Frame Relay, and PPP.
  5. Management of network devices using network managing tools such as SNMP, Netflow and Syslog.
  6. Identification of WAN technologies.
  7. Benefits of Virtual Private Networks.
