Health Care and Wellness Advising Team

The team provides provides specialized advising to students enrolled in the following programs on the Perry Health Sciences Campus:

Computed Tomography
Dental Assisting
Dental Hygiene
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Mammography
Medical Assisting
Medical Laboratory Technology
Neurodiagnostic Technology
Nursing (non-university transfer)
Pharmacy Technology
Radiography
Respiratory Therapy
Sonography

Each student is assigned to an academic advisor within his or her care team. To find your advisor, go to Self-Service, click "Student Planning," then "Plan and Schedule" and then the "Advising" tab.

Advising is available on a walk-in basis at Perry Health Sciences Campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can also schedule a virtual advising appointment.

Special advising situations

Students interested in completing general coursework for an Associate in Arts degree and then transferring to a four-year university for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree will work with transfer nursing advisors to help prepare them.

New Health & Fitness Science and Social & Human Services students will work with special advisors to plan courses for the first semester. Advisors are available to meet with students face-to-face or virtually on Southern Wake or Scott Northern Wake campuses.

Health & Fitness Science students can meet with advisors from the Math & Science advising team.

Social & Human Services students can meet with advisors from the Communication, Social Sciences, Art & Humanities advising team.
