Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
Learn the basics of the plumbing and pipefitting trades, including math, welding, safety, OSHA regulations, piping and associated fittings, rigging, soldering and brazing, plumbing codes and the use and care of tools. Then, back that up with more advanced concepts, such as oxy-fuel cutting, water supplies, drainage systems, system repairs, plumbing fixtures and related sciences and services.
Students who successfully complete course requirements receive credit toward completion of the first and second years of training as a plumbing and pipefitting apprentice.
