An exciting new public-private partnership will give Wake Tech grads a competitive edge! Wake Tech and Audi of America have joined forces in the Audi Educational Partnership program, which provides equipment and instructional materials to help students build advanced skills.
Wake Tech’s spring 2016 commencement exercises marked an end and a beginning for more than 1,600 graduates receiving degrees and diplomas. The ceremony, held at the Raleigh Convention Center, included more than 700 of those graduates, who participated in the ceremony.
Wake Tech received two separate $5,000 grants from the Raleigh Accenture branch to support the Vets ACTS (Veterans Accelerated Career Transformation Services) program. Accenture is a leading global professional services company, providing a broad range of services and solutions in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations.
Thanks to a grant from the Aurora Foundation, veterans at Wake Tech will now be “recognized” in a new way by the college community. Special identification badges have been created for staff, faculty and students who have served in the military.
Wake Technical Community College has recognized employees and community partners with its annual Excellence Awards. Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen Scott gave awards to 16 faculty and staff members for their service and dedication to the college, as well as other special awards for outstanding contributions to Wake Tech.
Future interior designers at Wake Tech are showing off their talent for turning old buildings into fresh, multi-purpose spaces. Students in the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree program in Interior Design demonstrated what they’ve learned.
Culinary students from across North Carolina demonstrated both technical skill and artistry this week at the 2016 Culinary Arts Showcase. Wake Tech hosted the event on Tuesday, April 26, on Main Campus – to the delight of dozens of people from the community!
