RALEIGH, N.C. (June 26, 2017) - A special visitor came to see students in Wake Tech’s Early Childhood Education program. The owner of The Educators, a child care facility and school up to the 10th grade in Pakistan, visited Southern Wake (Main) Campus tonight. Major Hasan Ismail delivers motivational lectures to colleges and universities across the country.

RALEIGH, N.C. (June 14, 2017) - Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Tech Community College, is proud to announce 1,613 students made the President’s List or Dean’s List for the Spring 2017 semester.

RALEIGH, N.C. (June 8, 2017) ­- Dozens of Wake County high school graduates will enter college this fall with two years of college already under their belts! Seventy-seven students graduated from the Wake Early College of Health and Sciences on May 31 – the largest graduating class in the history of the school!

RALEIGH, N.C. (June 6, 2017) - Wake Technical Community College has named a new executive director of Corporate & Business Solutions. Barbara Brothers, a former VP in Charlotte, NC, will lead the department in developing customized training programs to match corporate clients’ unique needs.

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 30, 2017) ­- Wake Tech students have an exciting new opportunity to learn from the best: Lenovo has brought on 12 students as paid interns who will work at the company this summer, kicking off a partnership that will be offered on a semester basis. While most of the internships are in information technology, there will be additional opportunities in areas such as marketing and business analytics.

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 19, 2017) ­- Three Culinary Arts students at Wake Tech have earned scholarships in a unique way: they created delicious entrées – using ingredients from McDonald’s!

A huge cheering section erupted when Shirley Fuller crossed the stage this evening at Wake Tech’s Spring 2017 Commencement Exercises. The 70-year-old grandmother received an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Business Administration

Wake Tech Community College recognized students, faculty, staff, and community partners at its annual Excellence Awards. Executive Vice President Dr. Gayle Greene gave awards to 16 faculty and staff members for their service and dedication, as well as other special awards for outstanding contributions to the college

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 25, 2017) - Food, friends, and fundraising! Wake Tech christened the sparkling new kitchen facilities at its Northern Wake Campus with the “Bake Tech Mixer,” a VIP reception, on Tuesday evening, April 25. The event (named for the popular “Bake Tech” video series the college launched last year) raised funds for Baking & Pastry Arts scholarships and program needs.
