Wake Tech's Fall graduation ceremonies are set for 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.

This two-day workshop focuses on the basic concepts of data science. Students will apply the concepts to real-world datasets using modern software; learn about the role of data scientists; and explore data science as a potential career path. The workshop also covers automation of data processing, interactive data visualization, and participation in data science competitions, and includes hands-on activities.

This course covers math concepts as applicable in healthcare occupations, including basic operations, fractions, metric system conversion, reading gauges and graphs, recording measurements, temperature conversion, skip counting, medication dosage calculations, and much more. Upon completion, students should have a stronger foundation for using math in their chosen healthcare occupation.
