Make Wake Tech your source for Law Enforcement Training. We offer a variety of training opportunities in the classroom as well as through practical application. Training for law enforcement personnel is provided at the request of law enforcement agencies. Our training programs emphasize legal and technological advancements in law enforcement.
UP IN SMOKE - In an arson case, not all of your critical and viable evidence goes "Up in Smoke". Unfortunately, television has provided the public with an unrealistic depiction of how a fire behaves. This three-day arson training course has been designed for prosecutors, law enforcement officers, fire investigators, fire marshals and firefighters of any skill level. Topics will include a live burn, fire behavior, fire investigation, evidence, experts, available resources and the law. Join us for "Up in Smoke" and discover the truth about fire.
Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Arson Investigation training to be held at the Public Safety Education Campus of Wake Tech Community College, March 6-8, 2019. There is no registration fee and continuing education credit will be available through Wake Tech for law enforcement and fire professionals. For fire professionals (firefighters and fire investigators) we will need an "affiliation letter" on your agency letterhead that includes the name(s) of those attending if there will be more than one from each station. At this time, please send no more than two people per fire station, Police Department or Sheriff's Office.
This training is free, however travel expenses (hotel, meals, mileage) is the responsibility of the individual or department and will not be reimbursed for non-AOC employees.
To register, please visit the course registration site: http://www.ncdistrictattorney.org/training_registration/2019-Up-In-Smoke.html
