Wake Tech WARN is the official alert system the college uses to distribute critical information in the event of an emergency or inclement weather.

Wake Tech WARN allows the college to notify students, faculty, staff and others by the following means:

• Email
• SMS text message
• Voice message

Students and employees automatically receive Wake Tech WARN messages via Wake Tech email. The college strongly recommends that everyone update their WARN profiles to include SMS texting so they can also receive emergency notifications by phone. Follow these steps to update a WARN profile:

1. Log in to WARN using a Wake Tech email address
2. Select "+ Add User Device"
3. Choose type SMS and add a cellphone number
4. Click "Save"

There's no need to add a location or change anything else in the profile.

Parents and community members can also register for Wake Tech WARN alerts.
