New Student Orientation

Important Information
  • Seated Orientation sessions are temporarily suspended while physical locations remain closed.
  • Online Orientation is available through our website for all Summer and Fall 2020 students.
  • If you would like a chance to interact with members of our orientation team, as well as representatives from other areas of the college, please join us for a Live Q&A!

New Student Orientation is recommended for all incoming students – even those transferring from other colleges. Find out about registering for classes, financial aid, email, parking, student resources, and get valuable tips from current students!

Sessions are offered on different Wake Tech campuses and last 2.5 hours (extended sessions are 3-3.5 hours). Optional tours are available afterwards. Sessions do not include snacks or drinks and are not appropriate for children.

Sign up for a New Student Orientation session as soon as you've been admitted to Wake Tech. See below to decide if a seated or online session is right for you and make your selection!

NOTE: Seated New Student Orientation sessions have been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We encourage students applying for the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters to complete orientation online for the time being.
