Health Sciences Admission and Academic Advising
As Wake Tech moves to temporary online-only services, the Health Sciences Enrollment and Student Services team wants to assure you we are still available to assist you. Please email us at [email protected] with your questions, and a team member will reach out to you. Thank you for your patience and keep checking the Wake Tech web page for updates.
Wake Tech’s Health Sciences programs are highly-regarded and extremely popular. Please review the information on this site to learn more about the programs offered and the program specific admission requirements. The Health Science programs have different admission criteria than other programs, a separate clinical application, and most have limited enrollment. Please note that for Health Science programs, grades of “C” or better are required in all program-related curriculum classes (except for Human Services and Health & Fitness Science).
To get started in a Health Sciences program, select Program of Study from the left menu.
Many of the programs use a first-come, first-served process to determine entry into clinical classes. Other programs utilize a competitive process to determine entry into clinical classes. Students are encouraged to apply early so that they can take any classes needed to fulfill admissions requirements before clinical application deadlines.
Since Wake Tech’s Health Sciences programs have special admission and enrollment requirements, we have information sessions designed specifically to assist students with the admissions process. The all-purpose General Information Session introduces prospective students to the Health Sciences programs at Wake Tech and provides information about the admission requirements and the time commitment needed to be successful in a Health Sciences program.
The information sessions for Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, and Radiography programs are mandatory; students must complete the program-specific information session. Please note that Radiography does not have an online option.
