Information Sessions

Since Wake Tech’s Health Sciences programs have special admission and enrollment requirements, completion of a program-specific Health Sciences Information Session is mandatory for prospective applicants to any of the competitive programs – dental assisting and dental hygiene, medical sonography, nursing, practical nursing, and radiography.

We do not schedule individual appointments with applicants until after the completion of the information session. Information sessions will cover the program application process, the selection process, classes required, and the expectations for students who are accepted. Information sessions are virtual and can be completed 24/7.

Choose the session that best fits your needs:

  • General Information Sessions
This all-purpose session covers general academic information designed to introduce the prospective student to the Health Science programs at Wake Tech. This program is designed for the student who is unsure of which program they may be interested. Please note that if you decide to pursue Nursing, Radiography, Dental Hygiene, or Dental Assisting, you will have to attend their program-specific information session

  • Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting
This session is designed for students who are interested in applying to the Dental Hygiene and/or Dental Assisting programs

  • Medical Sonography
This session is designed for students who are interested in applying to the Medical Sonography program.

  • Nursing
This session is designed for students who are interested in applying to Wake Tech's Nursing program: the traditional Nursing program, the LPN to RN Advanced Placement option, or the Practical Nursing program. If you are interested in taking classes at Wake Tech to transfer to a 4-year university for a BSN, you do not need this session and would speak with a University Transfer advisor at [email protected]

  • Radiography
This session is designed for students who are interested in applying to the Radiography program.
