The Board of Directors of the Wake Tech Foundation is pleased to welcome local executives Donna Preiss and Barry Long to its ranks. The Foundation manages private investments to serve Wake Tech students, faculty, and staff and connects private citizens, alumni, and corporate donors who are critical to the success of the college. 

Robert Kimball, mathematics instructor at Wake Technical Community College, has been awarded the 2010 Teaching Excellence Award by the North Carolina Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges (NCMATYC). This is the first Teaching Excellence Award ever bestowed by the NCMATYC.

Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Technical Community College, has announced that 854 students have made the President's List or Dean's List for the Spring 2010 semester.

Wake County residents looking for new skills and inspiration came to hear more about the Plus 50 program today at Wake Tech's Western Wake Campus in Cary. The Plus 50 Open House featured information on the program's latest course offerings designed with students age 50 and above in mind.

With just the click of a mouse, you can help Wake Technical Community College make computer training available to thousands of Wake County adults. Wake Tech is competing in an online contest to win $250,000 in grant funds for a mobile computer lab. 

Young adults transitioning from the foster care system to college and independent living just got a tremendous boost: The Women's Network of Wake County has awarded $25,000 to the Fostering Bright Futures program at Wake Technical Community College. The program helps former foster youth in Wake County attend college and earn a degree.
