Wake Tech automotive instructor Rich Cregar will travel to China next month to share his expertise in sustainable transportation technologies with world leaders. Cregar will make a presentation on biofuels at the first annual Low Carbon Earth Summit, taking place October 19-26 at the World Exposition Center in Dalian, China.

Wake Tech Foundation Director to Lead National Board

Mort Congleton, Wake Tech's Vice President of Development and Executive Director of the Wake Tech Foundation, has been named president-elect of the Board of Directors of the. Council for Resource Development (CRD) in Washington, D.C. CRD supports more than 700 community colleges across the U.S. by developing leaders through education, advocacy, and mentoring.

Wake Tech's New Gymnasium Hosts First Game

Let the games begin! Wake Tech welcomed the sights and sounds of college sports to campus this week for the first time in its 50-year history. The college renovated its Early Childhood Education Building on Main Campus, adding a physical education wing that includes a 17,000-square-foot gymnasium.

Robert "Butch" Grove, Wake Tech's Dean of Sustainability, has received his professional certification in Campus Sustainability Leadership from the Institute for Global Sustainability at the University of Vermont. Grove successfully completed the nationally-recognized program in July.
