The faculty in the Liberal Arts Division, with master's and doctoral degrees from prominent universities, have expertise in many academic fields. They utilize this expertise with the fundamental purpose of helping students reach and achieve their university transfer goals. The Liberal Arts Division, like Wake Tech overall, takes pride in its faculty's innovative and passionate promotion of student success.

We are committed to scheduling our courses in various modes of delivery – in-person, online and a mix of the two – to meet students' degree, diploma, career and other needs. With hybrid courses, the majority of the course is taught in an online format. Our faculty are very proficient in online teaching, with more than 90% having already earned EPIC certification, which is Wake Tech's online course certification program for college faculty.

Find your academic advisor
  • Associate in Arts degree students will work with an advisor in our Academic Advising centers throughout your time at Wake Tech.
  • Associate in Fine Arts degree students will meet with an advisor during your first semester. You will then be assigned a faculty advisor, an instructor in your program of study who will advise you for the remainder of your program.

Professional licensure

Wake Tech academic programs (credit and non-credit) that are designed to lead to professional licenses are tied to North Carolina or national certifications. If you intend to pursue professional licenses outside North Carolina once you have completed your academic program at Wake Tech, please refer to the Professional Licensure section of the college's distance education authorization page for additional information.
