Wake Tech is closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for Spring semester classes. All classes will resume and offices will reopen on Monday morning.
The Emergency Medical Science Bridge program is designed for credentialed paramedics who want to obtain their EMS degree. Paramedics must have an active state or national paramedic credential to be eligible.
The Bridge program provides formal education in EMS management and advanced pre-hospital practice.
The program is 100% online, which ensures that any paramedic can enroll, no matter their shift schedule. Individuals can join the program in any semester. Most courses also qualify for continuing education credit.
Follow these steps to join the program:
A welcome email will be sent to your personal email address on file. The email includes instructions on how to set up and access your Key Account for all Wake Tech services.
Once you set up your Key Account, you will be able to access your Wake Tech email and the eLearning Intro course on Blackboard. You must complete the course prior to registering for any classes.
You can then use Self-Service to register for classes. Preferred class sections fill quickly, so don't wait to register.
You may be given credit for some of the courses required for the degree through your experience as a paramedic and any credentials you hold.
