General Admission Procedures
- If you graduated from a US high school, you will be admitted and placed in classes based on your unweighted GPA (COVID 19 Exception), or by other admission placement criteria.
- If you graduated high school outside of the US, you need to determine additional steps.
Steps for Admissions
Step 1. Research Career Options Find your Career Path with self-assessments, resources, job outlooks, salary ranges, and education requirements. Take a Quick Career Assessment Explore Academic Programs of Study
Step 3. Submit an online application to be a Wake Tech Student APPLY Need assistance? Contact the Admissions Office virtually by signing in to receive a phone call.
Step 4. Submit Official Transcript(s) Due to COVID-19 there may be a significant delay in retrieving and processing transcripts sent through postal mail. It is preferred that transcripts are sent electronically to ensure receipt and faster processing.
Request official transcript(s) from high school, or high school equivalency, and previous college(s). Ask that transcripts be forwarded to electronically at [email protected] or mailed to:

Note: If you already have a college degree, you do not need to submit high school transcripts unless you are a Health Sciences Applicant. Health Sciences requires all high school and college transcripts.
Step 6. Activate Your Wake Tech Account Click the red "Activate Account" button.
Step 7. Meet with an Advisor Once you’ve completed Steps 1-6 above, meet with an Advisor.
Step 8. Complete New Student Orientation New Student Orientation (NSO) is mandatory for first-time in college students. NSO can be completed once a student is admitted to the college.
Health Sciences Programs
Take Online Learning Readiness Assessment If you are enrolling in online courses, you will need to complete the e-Learning Module.
