Applying for Financial Aid

How to Apply for Financial Aid

The Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) has to be completed each academic year in order to receive any Federal and State aid, most Institutional aid, and most scholarships.

To ensure aid is available to charge tuition, fees, and books, the FAFSA and any required paperwork should be submitted by the WTCC priority deadlines listed below:

Important Deadlines

If you plan to enroll: Complete the FAFSA by: Submit paperwork by:
Fall Semester June 1 July 1
Spring Semester October 1 November 1
Summer Term April 1 May 1

If you miss a financial aid priority deadline, you are still encouraged to submit the FAFSA.  There may be less funds available from state aid and scholarships. Students who submit their FAFSA after the priority deadline should make other payment arrangements to pay for their tuition, fees and books if aid is not offered before the registration payment is due. Once your FAFSA has been processed and if it is determined that you qualify for financial aid, you will be reimbursed during the semester. If you are NOT offered financial aid, you are responsible for all charges. Payment can be made by cash, check, debit card, VISA, or MasterCard at the Cashier’s Office or through Self Service. WebAdvisor is available for making payments by debit and credit cards.
