Wells Fargo will continue its generous support of Wake Tech’s commitment to small business owners and would-be entrepreneurs. The financial institution and the college have been partners in the Wake Tech/Wells Fargo Center for Entrepreneurship for six years.

The Wake Tech Community College Foundation has a new leader. Matt Smith has been named Executive Director, leading efforts to grow private support for the college. Smith has been serving as Associate Executive Director since he joined the Foundation last August.

Wake Tech Community College has received the largest grant in its 50+-year history to train workers for jobs in cybersecurity, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and financial services. 

Wake Tech is partnering with William Peace University on two new groundbreaking transfer opportunities. Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen C. Scott and Dr. Brian C. Ralph, President of William Peace University, signed the agreements today, which offer a convenient way for Wake Tech graduates in Criminal Justice and Business Analytics to continue on to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Wake Tech Community College has been awarded $99,673 by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to collect Triangle veterans’ stories of military experience.

Drawing from the popularity of BuzzFeed’s Tasty, Tastemade, and Foodbeast, Wake Tech is delighted to begin offering a new feature called “Bake Tech!”

An exciting new public-private partnership will give Wake Tech grads a competitive edge! Wake Tech and Audi of America have joined forces in the Audi Educational Partnership program, which provides equipment and instructional materials to help students build advanced skills.

Wake Tech’s spring 2016 commencement exercises marked an end and a beginning for more than 1,600 graduates receiving degrees and diplomas. The ceremony, held at the Raleigh Convention Center, included more than 700 of those graduates, who participated in the ceremony.

Wake Tech received two separate $5,000 grants from the Raleigh Accenture branch to support the Vets ACTS (Veterans Accelerated Career Transformation Services) program. Accenture is a leading global professional services company, providing a broad range of services and solutions in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations.
