Wake Technical Community College is pleased to announce Gabby McCutchen as the new provost of Arts and Sciences and the Scott Northern Wake Campus.

Students training to become firefighters in the Wake County Fire Academy, a partnership between Wake Tech and Wake County, learned a different set of skills.

Dr. Scott Ralls, president of Wake Tech Community College, is proud to announce 1,808 students made the President’s List or Dean’s List for the Fall 2022 semester.

Wake Tech has named Robin Pate as its new athletic director. Pate has served as the assistant athletic director for external operations since June 2021.

Wake Tech welcomed roughly 21,000 degree-seeking students today on the first day of the Spring semester. That includes about 18,000 continuing students and 3,000 new students.

The Wake Tech family mourns the loss of former trustee and executive vice president Dr. Carl Price. He dedicated more than 30 years of his professional career to advancing the mission of North Carolina community colleges.

Wake Tech honored 32 cadets who graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy. It was largest class of BLET graduates in 15 years.

Fifty-six adult learners finished what they started and earned their high school equivalency diplomas at Wake Tech.

Saturday was a day of pride and excitement as hundreds of Wake Tech graduates celebrated their accomplishments at the college’s Fall commencement exercises.
