Want to develop habits that will help you succeed in all of your college classes? The Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) can help you identify areas for studying improvement and suggest ways to prevent common student obstacles. A study skills tutor will help examine your current study practices, find your strengths and work with you to develop a plan for academic success.

The TLC helps you develop skills that you can use in the classroom and for your career:

• Understanding your personal learning strengths
• Reading a textbook
• Taking notes effectively
• Managing your time
• Approaching discussions or group work
• Preparing effectively for tests and exams
• Handling test anxiety
• Being mindful
• Learning how to learn through a "Practicing Success" workshop
• Speech practice for non-Communication classes

Both in-person and online tutoring sessions are available, and some campuses accept walk-ins. Check the main TLC page for operating hours on each campus.
