College Closed Saturday Because of Winter Storm

All Wake Tech campuses are closed Saturday, January 31, 2026, due to inclement weather. Students taking in-person classes should check with their instructors for more information. Online classes will continue as scheduled. Many Wake Tech services, including Admissions and Academic Advising, are available virtually at virtualsupport.waketech.edu. Wake Tech employees who can work remotely should do so.

Tutoring and Learning Center Job Openings

Wake Tech is seeking to expand its pool of adjunct faculty for tutorial support. Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) tutors do the following:

  • Provide tutoring activities to increase student achievement, including developing workshops and supplementary handouts as appropriate
  • Create and maintain publications and other communications projects that benefit the TLC in general
  • Ensure proper procedures for time cards and registration
  • Perform administrative duties, such as necessary record-keeping to meet auditing requirements
  • Stay abreast of current trends in tutoring in the adult education field through various forms of professional development
  • Conduct workshops as needed
