Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
The IT Foundations Certificate gives individuals an all-around orientation to information technology. It is a recommended starting place for students who know they like computer technology but are not sure what specific field of computers might be right to follow for their career.
The program introduces students to security, operating systems, programming, databases and other career options that involve computer technology. Courses also can prepare students for a variety of industry certifications.
NOTE: Tuition listed is for in-state students. Out-of-state tuition is higher.
Tuition is set annually by the State Board of Community Colleges. Wake Tech charges various fees in addition to tuition, and individual programs also have specific costs associated with them.
