Wake Tech's Spring graduation ceremonies are set for 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.
The Adult High School and High School Equivalency programs will hold their graduation ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends can watch it live online as well.
This certificate program focuses on the National Electrical Code as is applies to industrial installations, including hazardous locations and installing rigid conduit. It is the third tier in available wiring certificates.
Students will also work with transformers and programmable logic controllers used in the industry as part of this certificate.
NOTE: Students must complete the second-tier Commercial Wiring certificate before starting this certificate.
Overall, the Electrical Systems Technology curriculum provides training for individuals interested in installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
The curriculum is based on the assumption that a student has no prior knowledge or experience in electricity or electronics. Faculty are licensed electricians and bring a rich and diverse set of field experiences to the classroom, adding to the educational experience for students.
Scholarships are available for qualified individuals.
