Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
The Electrical Systems Technology Diploma provides training for individuals interested in installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
Training, most of which is hands-on, includes such topics as AC/DC theory, basic wiring practices, programmable logic controllers, industrial motor controls, the National Electrical Code and other subjects as local needs require.
Diploma graduates should qualify for a variety of jobs as a trainee or apprentice assisting in the layout, installation and maintenance of electrical or electronic systems.
