The Residential Wiring Certificate introduces students to the National Electric Code (NEC) and how it applies to residential applications.
Students learn how to install residential circuits, interpret the NEC and read blueprints for the residential installations.
The curriculum is based on the assumption that students have no prior knowledge or experience in electricity or electronics. The Electrical Systems Technology faculty are licensed electricians and bring a rich and diverse set of field experiences to the classroom.
The certificate is the first in a series of wiring certificates in the Electrical Systems Technology program.
