Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
The Renewable Energy Certificate provides knowledge of alternative and renewable energy that will not only help the environment, but also can provide power for entire communities, countries and even the world.
The program focuses on hands-on photovoltaic systems training and how they can be applied to harness the energy from the sun in accordance with the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners standards.
The certificate is part of a series of to understand the National Electric Code. Students must complete the Residential Wiring and Commercial Wiring certificates before starting this certificate.
