Wake Technical Community College now offers a powerful new resource for helping students and alumni find employment. Wake Tech has partnered with College Central Network (CCN) to offer a state-of-the-art recruiting tool that combines an interactive online system for writing resumes and creating portfolios with a robust job search system.

Local businesses gathered in Research Triangle Park today to hear plans for Wake Technical Community College's future RTP Campus. The state-of-the-art campus will be built on an 86-acre site off NC Highway 54, near I-40 and 540, to serve the training needs of local industry and prepare highly-skilled technicians and professionals to meet the demands of our growing region.

Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Technical Community College, today announced that Amanda Batchelor, a student in the Computer and Engineering Technologies Division, has received a $500 scholarship for her design of a logo for the Sphere Business Incubator in Fuquay-Varina.

Students in Wake Tech's Solar Thermal training class installed a solar hot water system in a specially outfitted trailer at the college's Northern Wake Campus today. Entrepreneurs, contractors, and inspectors with the City of Raleigh got hands-on training that will continue tomorrow between 8:00 a.m. and noon.

Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Technical Community College, is proud to announce a record 1,125 students made the President's List or Dean's List for the Spring 2011 semester. That's a 31% increase over the same period last year!

Wake Technical Community College is one of five North Carolina community colleges that will participate in a national effort to help more young people obtain a degree, certificate or credential. Wake Tech, Guilford Tech, Central Piedmont, Martin and Davidson community colleges will share a $500,000 planning grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
