TSERS
Employees contribute 6% of their pre-tax earnings into the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System. Upon retirement, they receive monthly pension checks in an amount determined by their salary, length of service and age at retirement.
Supplemental retirement plans
Employees can make pre- or after-tax contributions to 401(k) or 457 plans or contribute to a 403(b) annuity plan to augment their monthly pension and help reach their retirement savings goals.
