This year’s East Coast Game Conference kicked off with an exciting new opportunity for gamers! Today Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen C. Scott and Dr. Brian C. Ralph, President of William Peace University, signed a ground-breaking agreement that will allow students to transfer and pursue a bachelor’s degree in Simulation and Game Design (SGD).

There’s a new effort by two local firms to help graduates of the Vernon Malone College and Career Academy pursue higher education.

Wake Tech held a celebration today of its successful six-month partnership with Single Stop, a non-profit program that connects students with community resources. Single Stop helps students find services and assistance to help with life’s challenges – so that they can stay focused on reaching their academic goals.

Wake Tech Athletics has unveiled a sleek new website! The design is mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, and incorporates a streamlined functionality that allows viewers to see scores and stats quickly - directly from the NJCAA official site.

Some of Wake Tech’s best and brightest were inducted into the Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. The international honor society for two-year colleges offers opportunities for scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship for students.

Hundreds of high school students, parents, and educators gathered on two Wake Tech campuses today for the college’s annual Open House events. School guidance counselors and administrators also attended, along with professionals interested in new career options and others from the community.

Wake Tech Executive Vice President Dr. Gayle Greene has been awarded the prestigious Aspen Presidential Fellowship for Community College Excellence.

Wake Tech students, faculty, and staff now have a new way to communicate – in fact, they have more than 220 new ways! The college, in collaboration with its Campus Police department and English as a Second Language (ESL) program, has launched a language translation phone line to serve all those for whom English is not a native language.

More than 200 people attended Wake Tech’s Plus 50 Spring Summit today at the Western Wake Campus in Cary.
