More nurses will soon be joining the Triangle’s health care workforce: 58 graduates of Wake Tech’s nursing program received their pins at the Perry Health Sciences Campus. The ceremony took place one day before the commencement exercises on Main Campus.

Wake Tech business students are becoming stock market savvy. The SunTrust Center for Financial Education and the Wake Tech Business Club are proud to announce the Fall 2014 Market Watch Investment Champions. The Market Watch simulation introduces students to investment strategies by allowing them to manage a simulated $100,000 portfolio under real conditions.

Wake Technical Community College is offering students an international learning experience – in Salzburg, Austria! Wake Tech has teamed up with Salzburg College to offer a three-week program that will include classroom instruction as well as visits to historic Austrian sites, musical events, and a hiking trip. While there, students will take Principles of Management (BUS 137), taught by Wake Tech instructor Jeff Myers.

Unemployed professionals in the Triangle will soon have a new resource at Wake Tech. Career Transitions - StepUp, a leading Triangle career transitions group, will become a new program in Wake Tech’s Human Resources Development (HRD) division in January 2016.

Some of Wake Tech’s best and brightest were inducted into the Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa tonight.

U.S. Representative David Price visited Wake Tech Community College today to announce a major grant award from the U.S. Department of Education. Wake Tech will receive $2.7 million over four years from the First in the World grant program, designed to help institutions enhance learning.

The Board of Trustees of Wake Technical Community College is pleased to welcome Geoff Lang, appointed by Governor Pat McCrory. Lang was sworn in on Tuesday, October 20, as the newest trustee on the 12-member board.

Asia King, a second-year Business Management student at Wake Tech, has been recognized for leadership and service by North Carolina Campus Compact, a statewide network of 36 public and private colleges and universities committed to community engagement.
