One of the most advanced public safety training facilities in the country is right here in Raleigh - and now ready for students! Wake Technical Community College unveiled its Public Safety Education Campus today, recently renovated and more than triple its former size.

Wake Technical Community College has been selected to lead a statewide overhaul of community college programs to improve education and training in emerging green technologies and sustainability. Wake Tech Dean Robert "Butch" Grove will manage the Code Green Super CIP (Curriculum Improvement Project).

Robert "Butch" Grove, a Wake Tech instructor and administrator for more than 20 years, has been named Wake Tech's new Dean of Sustainability. Grove will be in charge of incorporating sustainable practices and processes into Wake Tech programs as well as adding new environmentally-focused training components.
