During this course, we will look at the creative and business aspects of the romance genre, the number-one selling fiction genre in the market. Students will focus on the craft of writing romance through practical, hands-on writing exercises to work on elements like character development, and building tension and emotion. Business discussions will include how to identify publishers, write a query and synopsis, and market your work.

  1. Write what’s right for you: the many sub-genres of Romancelandia

  4. Prepare for submission: editing your work, write a winning synopsis and query
