Dental Hygiene Program Costs

All costs presented here are estimates and are subject to change.

Tuition figures shown below are for in-state residents, assuming that all credit hours are needed, including non-DEN courses. The in-state rate for students taking fewer than 16 credit hours in the Fall or Spring semester or fewer than nine hours in the Summer term is $76 per credit hour.

Tuition for out-of-state residents is $4,288 per term in the Fall and Spring semester and $2,412 for the summer term. Students taking fewer than 16 credit hours in the Fall or Spring semester or fewer than nine hours in the Summer term pay $268 per credit hour.

National board fees are normally due in February, CDCA-WREB-CITA fees are due 30 days ahead of the scheduled exam and licensure fees are due 90 days ahead of the date you wish to be licensed.
The facility use fee for the CITA Exam is determined by the host site. The fees shown here were for the spring 2022 exams at UNC-Chapel Hill and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.
