Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Boot Camp

There are no Scheduled Camps at this time.  The Campus is closed for on-campus events.

Cost: $75 (non-refundable, non-transferable)

Registration Opens:  At this time, we are unable to accept applications for any boot camps.  All courses for summer 2020 are scheduled to be online only so we are unable to hold this on-campus event.  If we are able to return to campus and able to hold a boot camp, a new opening date for accepting registrations will be posted.

Registration Deadline:   Currently not-applicable as there are no scheduled camps.

Number of Participants:  The course has been designed for 15-30 participants.  Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We will post an announcement on this page if the course reaches capacity.

Confirmation:  An e-mail will be sent one week before the course to all participants with additional information and an exact room location. 

Future Camp:  A date will be selected for fall camps if we are able to return to campus amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Exploring the dental field? This is the perfect opportunity to have a hands-on experience with Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene. Boot camp is taught by the faculty and students of Wake Technical Community College.

Attendees will:

  • Learn the differences between the professions of Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene
  • Discover what it takes to be successful in school and the professions after graduation
  • Speak with current students and/or alumni about the programs 
  • Rotate through stations with hands-on activities experiencing topics such as:
    • Infection control
    • Vital signs
    • X-rays
    • Polishing
    • Sealants
    • Impressions
    • Instrumentation on a manikin

Age to Participate:  Attendees must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the camp.

Register and Pay for the Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene Boot Camp at the Dental Hygiene Clinic.  Payment may be made by Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit Card.  Checks & Money Orders should be made payable to Wake Technical Community College.  We are unable to accept credit card payments over the phone.
