Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Boot Camp

Time:               8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Cost:        $75  (Deadline to Register February 26, 2018 4:30 p.m. )

Location: Perry Health Sciences Campus—Exact room will be sent in e-mail confirmation

Confirmation:  An e-mail will be sent one week before the course to all participants with additional information and the specific location.

Exploring the dental field? This is the perfect opportunity to have a hands-on experience with Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene. The boot camp is taught by the faculty and students of Wake Technical Community College and is open to all participants ages 15 and up.  You do not need to be a Wake Tech student to attend.

Attendees will:

  • Learn the differences between the two professions
  • Discover what it takes to be successful in school and the professions after graduation
  • Speak with current students/alumni about the programs 

Hands-on activities will occur experiencing topics such as:

  • infection control
  • taking vital signs
  • taking x-rays (must be 18 to take X-rays in North Carolina)
  • polishing
  • sealants
  • impressions
  • instrumentation on a manikin
  • four-handed dentistry

To Register and pay:

Payment may be made by check in person or via mail.  If paying via cash or credit card you must physically come to the Dental Hygiene Clinic to pay. We are unable to accept online or over-the-phone credit card payments
