Academic advising is one of the most critical components of student success at Wake Tech. Advisors answer questions, provide valuable information about programs of study and guide students in setting academic goals, selecting courses and making sure they're ready for registration.
Each Wake Tech student has an assigned team of academic advisors and support staff – your "care team" – that will ensure you are on the right path to earning a credential. Your team will work with you until you enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college to pursue a higher degree.
To meet with your team, select the Career Field that most closely aligns with your program of study or intended major.
Wake Tech staff assigned to four affiliated early college high schools provide advising assistance to students who attend those programs.
Visiting students are not assigned a specific academic advisor, but they are always welcome to drop in to the advising offices on Southern Wake or Scott Northern Wake campuses.
After you take the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) placement test, call the EFL Advising Center at 919-866-6700 to schedule an appointment to meet with an advisor.
