The Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) hosts all workshops. Sign up below or contact TLC staff at [email protected] or 919-866-6880.
This workshop is for students on academic suspension or for anyone who wants to learn how to be a stronger college student.
Starting with a brief series of questions for self-reflection, the workshop introduces students to a variety of practices to help them better manage their learning experience:
After completing the workshop, students should be able to identify and apply useful strategies that make them stronger college students.
If a student isn't able to attend a workshop, he or she can watch the video and complete and submit the questionnaire to fulfill the workshop requirement. All seven questions must be completed for the student to get credit.
Once a student has completed the video and submitted the questionnaire, allow up to 24 hours (excluding weekends) for the registration hold to be lifted.
Students are encouraged to connect with their advisor for further assistance with course planning and creating a plan to get back on track academically.
