*The cost of an examination and immunizations will vary, depending on providers and a student's health insurance coverage.

**Travel expenses for clinical rotations in the Spring semester and Summer term will vary based on the distance a student will have to travel to a clinical site and the miles/gallon (mpg) of the student's vehicle.
Spring semester rotations are 20 visits to either the UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill or Local Start Dental or the Veterans Affairs Hospital, both in Durham. Summer term rotations are 30 visits to private practices in Wake County and surrounding counties.
Gas estimates are based on 60 miles roundtrip in Spring and 30 miles in Summer, 30 mpg and gas costing $4 per gallon. Total estimates also include $2 per day to park at UNC-Chapel Hill's Friday Center and $11 per day for parking at Local Start or the Durham VA.

NOTE: Clinical sites are located across the Triangle area and surrounding counties. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to their assigned clinical site, which could be up to 85 miles from the Perry Health Sciences Campus. The program cannot accommodate special requests for clinical site placement.
