Charles directs the activities of facilities operations, facilities maintenance and the planning, design and construction program. He also over oversees contracted services for housekeeping, HVAC and landscaping services, as well as real estate development.
Rustin directs multiple departments to properly plan, communicate, and execute the College’s preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements, renovation, new construction and presentation of all buildings and grounds. He develops and manages the annual operating budget for the department and advises the Vice President on the funding needs to maintain the physical facilities of the college, the allocation of fiscal resources for capital improvements, future growth, and maintenance projects on all campuses.
Kathy leads and directs the Design & Construction team of project managers, mechanical and electrical engineers, construction quality assurance coordinators and construction project specialists. She oversees the campus projects from inception to transition to Facilities Services.
Sarah is responsible for the management of design and construction of large and small capital projects from inception to closeout. She is also our in-house interior designer.

Wendell is our in-house mechanical engineer, responsible for the management of the design and construction of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems of all campus projects.

Michael is responsible for the construction observation and reporting of mechanical, electrical and plumbing standards and requirements of all projects.

Deborah manages the processing and tracking of all capital improvement-related contracts, invoices, field orders, change orders and design amendments. She creates and tracks purchase orders and manages Interscope+ data entries and reconciliations throughout the project lifecycle.
John supports Facilities Operations by managing the college's energy usage and costs, integrates sustainability measures in buildings and on campuses and runs the Transportation Demand Management program.
Brian is responsible for overseeing the college's enterprise-level BAS network and building-level supervisory devices.
Chris works as a commissioning engineer within the Facilities Operations department to ensure all newly constructed and renovated facilities are fully functional and ready for operation. He verifies that all systems and components within the facilities are designed, installed, tested and operated in accordance with specified requirements and are capable of being maintained in the most energy-efficient manner.

Eric is responsible for creating detailed design documentation for furniture arrangements, function setups, and upkeep of buildings and grounds. Documents and maintains building drawings and conditions as building conditions change and new buildings are added to the College’s inventory.
The Facilities Contracts Coordinator exercises broad discretion for overseeing the procurement and execution of contracted services supporting facilities and infrastructure maintenance for the College’s multiple campuses throughout Wake County.
